The Great Gatsby(F. Scott Fitzgerald) – Review

Hi All,

Today I’m going to write a review a book I read few months ago.

The Great Gatsby‘ – A novel which I’ll never forget and I loved it to the core.

The introduction, the characters, the pace of the story was just apt – no other word can justify this. The opening lines by Gatsby made him a real great person and justified the title completely.

“In my younger and more vulnerable years my father gave me some advice that I’ve been turning over in my mind ever since.
‘Whenever you feel like criticizing any one,’ he told me, ‘just remember that all the people in this world haven’t had the advantages that you’ve had.’”

The story is about love, trust, yet selfish people who live their dream revolving all around money. I would rather rank the book amongst one of the best with such a wonderful beginning and a gripping end.

“In my younger and more vulnerable years my father gave me some advice that I’ve been turning over in my mind ever since.
‘Whenever you feel like criticizing any one,’ he told me, ‘just remember that all the people in this world haven’t had the advantages that you’ve had.’”

Poor Gatsby – you fell short on trust and the delusions you created for yourself and let Daisy took advantage of you.

Yes, a recommended read from my side and I give the book 3.5 stars.

Ciao:)
