Travelling comes with a leverage of flying with different airlines around the world. As much as I love travelling I also love to try out different airlines before actually picking up my favourite. I have travelled in more than 8 different domestic/international airlines till date and yes I do have a few favourite ones and out of them, Qatar Airways is surely among the top two. I’m going to present my detailed Qatar Airways Economy class review from Delhi to Paris.
Qatar Airways Economy class review
Delhi – Doha – Paris
It was my first time with the Qatar Airways long-haul flight. Travelling from Delhi -> Paris, France via Doha Hamid International Airport and it was surely a pleasant experience. The layover allowed me to explore the upcoming airport of Doha and already made it to the 2017’s World’s top ten Airports. My wonderful experience drove this detailed Qatar Airways Economy class review. If you plan to stay in Doha for a layover, I recommend checking out City Centre Rotana.Â

Qatar Airways economy class facilities
Qatar Airways economy class seats surprised me for the good as it had a spacious leg room with superbly comfortable economy seats. The crew provided us with nice comfy pillows and a warm blanket for a good nights sleep that actually proved helpful to fall asleep even in an economy seat. The entertainment system in the flight had a wide array of choices. I can confidently recommend that Qatar Airways economy class facilities are from some of the best in the airline industry.Â
The cabin crew was extremely courteous and attentive with a helping attitude which was a plus point. I am the person with excessive water needs and require water every few minutes. After throwing away my water bottle while going through the security checks I was dependent on the small water cups in the flight but the air-hostesses were very helpful with that when I requested. Â
Qatar Airways economy class food
Qatar Airways economy class food had ample choices and was served hot & fresh in the airline. As it was a morning flight, we were served breakfast with fresh fruits and coffee/tea for those who (like me) need coffee in the morning along with bread as well! The second part of the journey was longer the first so we were served meals more than once. In the first meal, I opted for a chicken sandwich which was a tad disappointing for me. You might wonder why..what could possibly go wrong with a simple chicken sandwich? There was nothing wrong with the sandwich, it is just the fact that most Indians are used to eating the meat/chicken fully cooked – not partial or even boiled and so is the case with me!! I tried but couldn’t relish the sandwich which my fellow passengers enjoyed to the fullest!! But there’s a twist in the tale – the second time I was asked about food preference I jumped onto vegan!! There I got the last vegan pasta served hot with cheesy toppings on the second leg of my flight finally from Doha to Paris. The patience paid off…finally! So, I can say I had an amazing experience when choosing the Qatar Airways economy class food.Â
An unlucky incident
On the second leg of my journey from Doha to Paris, while waiting on the mentioned gate I was informed that the planes have changed at the last moment at altogether another corner of the terminal. I literally had to run as I got to know this very late & by the time I reached the new gate all window/aisle seats were full. I got the middle seat left out in an awkward situation for the next 6 hours – the troubles of travelling solo! There was only one point where I felt nice about my seat was when I got the very last vegan pasta 😀 Jokes apart, I believe, there should have been an announcement about such a big change & must provide people with their preferred seats to those who took the pain for web check-in. On second thoughts I believe the airport should also claim responsibility for such events as well.
Final Words on Qatar Airways Economy Class Review
Travelling is Economy is not that fun but still used by a majority of flyers. Therefore talking about which airline stood best for me with maximum facilities in Economy class. Then, Qatar Airways will fall directly into that category!!
– Qatar Airways evidently stood by its tagline – “A 5-star airline“.
– Always ask about the food menu so as to be aware what’s going to land on your platter.
– Maximum flights take a halt at Doha Hamid International airport – which is a pretty huge airport in itself. So make sure you don’t lose track time while exploring the airport and stuck yourself in a tricky situation like mine.
If you fly business class, then check out how Qatar Airways woos you with its business class.

Mate I love how your style is personal and informative at the same time :). Shame they had to cause that last min equipment change but at least the last Vegan Pasta was yours.
Thank you so much for the kind words. Yes that was a tad disappointing rest was great 🙂
I’ve heard an awful lot about Qatar though I’ve never flown with the before. I’m more of a Delta frequent flyer. I guess I should branch out to do a bit of comparison!
Really, for me it was nice!
It sounds amazing and I’m sure it makes the journey so much better as well. It’s definitely what I’d like to experience during my flight! I’m definitely considering flying with Qatar the next time!
Glad you liked it🙂
I have heard such great and impressive reviews about Qatar airways’ impeccable service. I’ve been using Philippines Airlines when I travel back to my country because it’s affordable. I never looked at other options especially Qatar Airways as I assumed the price is something my pocket will never afford.. but will look into their Economy rates when I fly back! I heard good things about Emirates too, I think those two are really leading the pack in the air travel industry
Yes Emirates are also a leading name and the one with good results!
I have never had a chance to travel by Qatar Airways. But, it sounds good. Thanks for sharing some of your experience to everyone. The next time, if I have to travel abroad, Qatar will be on my list. Thanks a lot.
Glad you liked it🙂
I have never had a chance to travel by Quartar airway. However, it sounds good. Thanks for sharing some of your experience to everyone. The next time, if I need to travel abroad, Quartar will be on my list. Thanks a lot
Glad you liked it🙂
Well, I like to travel and I’m not rich 😀 so of course, I have to fly in economy! And this post comes right on time for me, as my family is planning to come visit next March. They need to fly from London to South Africa and my sister mentioned that she found very cheap flights with Qatar, I will share this with her. I have to tell you, from my experience, the worst airline is Air France. OMG. I’m a small person and even I feel the legroom is ridiculous and the seats super uncomfortable; on the other hand, based again on experience, Iberia is excellent. Couldn’t say enough good things about them, but yes, good to know there are other airlines making an effort! I’ve heard Emirates is really good as well, have you try them?
Aur France is bad, it was on my mind!! Emirates I’ve also heard that it’s great, might plan my next trip with them 🙂
You said that most people travel economy.I do too. But economy is not always the most comfortable way to fly Consequently, it is good to know that one airline works on making even its passengers in economy comfortable. This is commendable as customer service makes or breaks a business
Yes agreed, when airlines baje effort to provide comfort in economy then it’s a nice one.
I have only flown domestically in the US but if I were to go on an international flight I would choose qatar for the service and the comfort during a long flight.
Glad to know that!
Enjoyable read. I haven’t yet flown with Qatar but I definitely will when the option comes up next!
Glad to know that!
i love Qatar! We used them when we flew from Kenya back to the USA. It was a lovely journey, no complaints at all!
Glad to know that!
I’m dying to fly Qatar Airlines… they seem to be an amazing airline!
Glad to know that!
Hi – I’ve traveled for more than 20 years for my job, internationally and domestically, but I’ve never flown that airline. It looks much like Lufthansa which to me was top notch! In today’s world of bare bones flying, it’s nice to see some airlines still have the extra service ! Thanks for sharing
Oh I like Lufthansa for its timings, else a no for me!!
Hoy you feel about Qatar is how I feel about Turkish Airlines. Love them! Haven’t used Qatar yet but it’s on my list!
I’ve heard about Turkish too, I’m planning to take my next flight from them!!
I’ve never traveled with Qatar Airways but have heard a lot about it. Will definitely try it soon. The economy seats look decent.
Hope you like it🙂
Wow Great article. Thank you for sharing your unique experience…
Glad you liked it. 🙂
I have never flown Qatar Airways – may be it is time to explore them, especially since they are one of the few international airlines operating out of Goa.
I hope you like it 🙂
Thanks for your honest and unbiased view! I’ve never flown Qatar Airlines before, but if I ever have the chance I will.
Glad you liked it 🙂
I’ve never flown Qatar Airways but this article makes me want to try them out!
Glad you liked it:)
I’ve never flown on Qatar Airways but I definitely want to try that airline now. It looks pretty amazing for economy. The seats actually look roomy and comfortable!
Yes it was !!
Quatar airways sounds pretty cool! I’ve never had a flight with this airline but I did hear really good things about it! I always love flying with Etihad 🙂
I’m yet to make a debut with Etihad, heard good reviews on that too. Hopefully that’s stands by its name.
I have always heard great things about Qatar Airways! Sounds like the rumors are true 🙂 I actually was in one of Qatar’s commercials and was hoping to fly Qatar when I went to the shoot location, but they flew me on Singapore Airlines. Hhahahah, but I wasn’t disappointed cuz Singapore airlines was great too 🙂
Ha great story!! Would love to try Singapore airlines too 🙂
Wow, I have always wondered about Qatar Airlines. I really need to find somewhere to go. I did not believe the commercials, but you have convinced me. Thanks for sharing.
Glad I convinced you and hope you also like it the way I did 🙂
I agree with you. Qatar Airways is on my favorite list of airlines. I like spending time in Doha airport, I was there 2 years ago and I can imagine how it is developed for the world cup.
Thank you so much for the lovely words🙂
Spacious seats and ample legroom are big ones for me, so I’m glad to see that’s a perk of flying economy with Qatar. I haven’t flown Qatar Airways before, so will see if they have offerings for my next flight.
Thank you for the kind words. Hope your experience is a pleasant one too
One of our team is off to Doha fairly soon – Hope he’s travelling Qatar Air, because it does look very good!
I hope they do have a nice experience travelling with Qatar Airways 🙂
I’ve flown with Qatar a couple of times in an economy and its a good airline. I would recommend flying with them 🙂
I completely agree! Thanks for the lovely words🙂
I have never flown via Quatar airlines but I have had my fair share of crappy economy flights. I guess I am at that stage where I want a bit of comfort. I would definitely try Quatar airways out especially after your review.
Yes these days airlines are taking out comfort from economy. Despite the ever reducing space, Qatar was fairly comfortable from the lot.
I have not traveled with this airline, but it looks good, apart from the change of plane drama for you!
Yes, it was a nice experience. Although the change of plane did give me a hard time though.
We haven’t flown with Qatar yet but they have just announced a new service. For the first time, they will be flying to our local airport, Cardiff, Wales starting in 2018.
It was a nice experience flying with Qatar, I hope you too have a nice time when you fly with them.
I’ve travelled Qatar economy from Adelaide, Australia to London – the first leg of that flight is about 13 hours. We found it surprisingly comfortable, and the staff were superb. The food was GREAT, and very plentiful – I was knocking it back by the end of the flight. Although it’d be nice to try Business Class, it costs about 5 times as much, so that’s probably not going to happen. But I’d definitely fly Qatar again!
Yes, I would love to try the Business class with Qatar, but will give my pocket a hard time though. But I guess it will an experience worth remembering
Have to agree that Qatar Airways is one of the better airlines when it comes to comfort in economy. The one time I flew with them, the food was great as well.
Yes I would always prefer Qatar next time as well 🙂
I have travelled Qatar both in economy and business class and it is quite nice
Yes, I agree.
