Tourists places in Jaipur – Birla Mandir (Temple)
Jaipur city is incredibly beautiful and home to various architectural marvel and one of them is – *Birla Mandir*. A Hindu Temple of Lord Narayan & Goddess Laxmi built of pure white marble and is one of the best places in the Jaipur city. The Birla Mandir is located on an elevated ground at the base of Moti Dungari hill in Rajasthan. Even if you’re not religious, I recommend you to spare some time for this architectural masterpiece.
As the temple is a part of a religious group, one Birla Mandir is also present in Delhi. The difference between the two is mainly of the stones used in construction. While the Birla Mandir in the Jaipur area is made of pure marble and the one in Delhi is made of red stones.
Another major difference is that the Jaipur’s Birla Mandir allows photography in the premises. Although my recent visit to Delhi’s Birla Mandir left me shocked when I had to submit my mobile/ camera outside in a locker room. Oddly enough, I asked the locker room staff about the restriction here, he said he had no idea even if a similar temple exists in Jaipur..*Sigh*. Although Delhi’s Birla Mandir is as beautiful as the one in Jaipur, sadly I couldn’t capture it in my camera.

Tourists places in Jaipur – Chowki Dhani
Chowki Dhani which portrays the essence of Rajasthan in a true sense, and if your trip doesn’t include places like Udaipur, Jodhpur then pay this place a little outside of the city a visit. The place has the exact look alike like the culture and soul of Rajasthan – the village like structure, the paintings, the camel, the unique & beautiful Heena designs, folk dance and much more.

The Chowki Dhani opens at 5h00 till 11h00 to showcase its charm and the entry charge is nominal in which the food and all the events are covered. The authentic dining area – with sitting on the floor with small tables in front of you, and people are ready to serve you a bunch of food items till you are full – is an all-new experience. The dishes are the typical Rajasthani dishes with authentic flavour and is served in abundance 🙂
We spent our entire evening there – enjoyed some folk dance, got our hands coloured with unique Heena designs, enjoyed the bonfire. If you like shopping then this is one of the best shopping places in Jaipur & surely one of the top tourists places in Jaipur.
